Japan excludes Russian energy projects from service sanction
TOKYO, Jun 30 (PRIME) -- Important for Japan's energy security projects Sakhalin-1, Sakhalin-2 and Arctic LNG-2 will not be subject to a ban on providing architectural and engineering services to Russia, the Japanese Economy Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
“Taking into account the impact on (Japanese) companies present in Russia, necessary measures have been taken in terms of ensuring the stable operation of projects important to energy security in Japan,” the statement read.
The ministry said that in the measures to ban the provision of architectural and engineering services “part of the regulations have been adjusted”.
